The Columbia Sky View Observatory towers 73 stories over downtown Seattle affording spectacular views of the city. Turning the ascent to the top into an experience itself, we screen wrapped the elevator entrance with video of the Seattle landscape. We constructed an awe-inspiring wooden canopy with 32-foot “vanes” that evoked mountains from above and undersea from below. And with wrap-around video, we made the ascent itself a voyage through the origins of the land that has now become the international city of Seattle.
